Our History

Superior Finishes Inc. is a family owned business and always has been. Our CEO Tony Guertin Jr. started the company in 1992 and, with  20 years previous experience in the paint and coatings industry, he knew how to do it right. He knew he could create coatings that pass the test of time and thus, Sequoia® coatings were born.

Tony’s eldest son Jea is the President, his other son J.P. is VP Marketing and his daughter Jamie is Production Manager. (The children are fourth generation in paint). Since 1906 the Guertin family has been creating and providing top quality industrial finishes. From windows to doors, and roofs, to bridges, tanks, and furniture you can expect a quality finish from our family of products… always could, always will.
